Family My niece Jesse moved to California to attend Point Loma Nazarene University. Pati came out for 5 days to attend the student/parent orientation and get Jesse settled in her new home. The orientation kept her so busy, we barely had time for any visiting.
Career Well, so far... one interview... one job offer. I don't think it's really difficult to get a job in this business. I'm going to interview with a few more companies, just to get an idea of the different benefits each company offers, and then I should be employed within the next couple of weeks. Unfortunately, I've been distracted from this weeks job search my current household woes...
Household Woes A couple of days ago I discovered that the air conditioning unit that is in the garage was leaking water all over the place. It looks like the drain got clogged... and with all the humidity lately, it was needing to drain a LOT of water. Well, the water soaked the drywall (below, and next to the AC unit) which has subsequently turned to mold. Yuck. It's scary looking. I have an environmental engineer coming out to inspect the mold and take air samples and tell me if it's gonna kill me or not (only joking... I hope!). Then the plumber comes to fix the drain... and after that, the mold specialists/duct cleaners/construction folks come to clean up the mold, replace the drywall, clean the ducts to remove the mold from them, etc. Oh joy! And to really put the icing on the cake, it looks like my homeowners insurance is NOT going to cover it. Waaaaaa!
