Entertainment George and I went hiking at Daley Ranch with Chris, Anna and Justin. They found their first geocache while we were there. Do we have a convert? I had coffee with my good friends Gina and Joyce. We really need to get together more often ladies! Robin and I took another road trip to Cambria. This time, it was my Christmas present from Robin. Woo hoo! The present included dinner at one of my favorite restaurant's... which just happens to be called Robin's. We also visited the town of Harmony, and discovered that they make some pretty good wine there. Hiccup! Isn't it beautiful?
Career Well, I still don't have one, but I am making progress on my real estate license. I started taking a class in Real Estate Economics at Palomar College.
Romance Well, when I'm not hiking or studying real estate I'm usually spending my time with Dave. Some of our favorite things to do are to meet in downtown Escondido on Saturday mornings after he does his run. There is a lovely little French cafe/bakery on Grand Avenue that Dave really likes. We usually have some coffee or breakfast and then frequently head over to the Escondido Municipal Gallery to see the latest show. They have some special event on the first Saturday of every month that we try to attend. In January, we saw a demonstration of mixed media collage by Claire-Lise Matthey Anderegg. You can see some of her work here. In mid-January Dave deserted me to spend 5 days in Mammoth with his family! Oh well, it gave me a chance to catch up with Gina and Joyce and plan my trip to Cambria with Robin.
Health & Fitness George and I hiked all the way out to Old Glory at Lake Hodges. Old Glory is a flag that is planted at the top of that hill in the center of the picture. We found the flag, but we never found the geocache which we were searching for. I finally started seeing a physical therapist (well, a posture specialist actually) for the on-going pain in my hip. This put a halt to my hiking for a while as he didn't want me aggravating it any more until we got the pain under control. The place I'm going is called Function First, if you're interested.
