Master Bath

Here's some ideas I'm considering for my master bath remodel.

Tile (updated 4/28/02)
Faucets (updated 4/22/02)

Lighting

I'm currently thinking that all the fixtures in the master bath will be brushed nickel. So far, this light fixture is the leading contender for the vanity area. I just don't know if it's too modern looking for my basically colonial home. What do you do when you live in a colonial home -- but you hate colonial???

Tile

For the master bath, I found these two beautiful limestone colors that I really like -- but they only come in 12" x 12" tiles, and I think that's a little big.

Sean and I have been talking about doing a mosaic in the master bath. I think that would be incredibly cool... but there is a budget and a strict time frame to consider. Nonetheless, I'm working on some ideas for that.

These aren't very good pictures (as they are pictures of a picture in a scrap book at Arizona Tile) -- but this is an amazing tub enclosure! I love both the colors and the flow-y, curvy lines.

Faucets

I've been uninspired by most of the faucets I've seen... but then Robin and I saw these while touring model homes. I decided these are too expensive for the guest bath... but they might work for the master bath.

These pictures are from the Moen web site. The base to these faucets is interchangeable... so you can pick from a variety of decorative accents (including this cool one with purple flowers!).
