George and I are both taking the Fundamentals of Woodworking class -- which means
we're both building a clock! Here's a few pictures of George's clock and his progress. Needless to say,
there's way more info on my clock! |

March 14.George is way further along than me. |
March 21. George got a lot done today, but I didn't get a good picture. You can kind of see his clock in the background of my picture for today. He routed all his decorative edges on the top cap, the sides, and the decorative piece at the bottom of the clock. He designed a much nicer contour for the decorative piece at the bottom (I thought the sample clock was a little too formal and fussy). |
April 18. I haven't been keeping careful track of progress, but George's clock is coming along great. He has his carcass glued up and is working on his door. |
May 16. In the panic to get my clock done, I've completely ignored George's... but his is coming along just fine. Here's some pics... |
Here's George's hinge gain... way nicer than mine! |
May 23. During the last week, George's clock really turned into a thing of beauty. Here it is after the first coat of oil. |
Here it is all put together and ready for the last class. Oh, yeah... that work of beauty next to George's clock is mine! |
