Robin and I decided to test our hiking skills. We chose a "level one" hike from a book Robin has (e.g. supposed to be EASY!!!) and headed off to Julian. What neither of us took into account is that Julian has a bit of altitude... making even an easy hike seem difficult to me :-(. It was very, very beautiful though. And we finished it off by getting a yummy apple/walnut/salad thingie at a restaurant in downtown Julian.
