My Kitties

Here are my kitties... Toby and Mickey. I've had them since 1998. I fell in love with them during a trip to the vets office with Blue Eyes and just had to bring them home. The most important thing in their little kitty lives seems to be "the string" (a drawstring from an old pair of pants). Mickey will follow you around the house with the string in his mouth, and stare at you woefully until you take it and wiggle it for him. Toby is pretty well behaved -- but Mickey is determined to seek out trouble whereever it lies. Recently he's discovered that he *can* jump on the mantle from the floor. Drat!!! It was the one place I could keep flowers that was out of reach of the little monsters -- er, I mean the little dears. Did I mention they just love to eat flowers... and then leave colorful piles of cat vomit around the house for me to find!

Blue Eyes

Sadly, Blue Eyes left us on August 17, 2001 at the ripe old age of 19. He had lived a good, long little kitty life (he was 19 years old). But, he was ready to go. He had stopped eating and drinking and just looked very ready. Blue Eyes was a street kitty in Cardiff when Robin adopted him (in about 1984). I adopted him from Robin in 1994 because he had to be an indoor kitty for a while during a time when Robin couldn't have any (more) indoor kitties. He was still pretty lively then... but had definitely been slowing down the past few years. I miss him a lot.
