| One of our next hikes at Lake Hodges involved finding a GeoCache along the SW portion of the Lake. I'm not sure if
this is actually considered part of the North Shore Trail... but it seems to be on the
Lake Hodges map.
We parked at the trailhead near Hernandez Hideaway. Here's an aerial view of this portion of the lake, and one that shows our actual GPS track. No, we didn't really wander into the lake here... some of this is just a little burp in the GPS track... and some is the fact that there's just not water there anymore! |

| Here's the GeoCache "treasure". In this case, the treasure is hidden in an old ammo box. It is filled with miscellaneous trinkets and gadgets. Many people think just finding the GeoCache is enough. Others hope it's filled with some good loot. In general, if you take something, you should leave something in its place. | |
