| For this hike, we took advantage of the parking spot in a residential neighborhood that George had scouted out on one of our hikes along the Piedras Pintadas trail. The goal of this hike was the Number One Son GeoCache. | |
| The hike included a couple of killer hills at the beginning. Luckily that meant more downhills on the way back! We took the high road (left one on the map) going in, and the low road coming out. Once we got near the cache location, it was easily located underneath the URF (unnatural rock formation) -- a common sign of a hidden cache. It held the usual assortment of trinkets. | |
| The view from the cache location was just breathtaking! Look closely at the third picture. There's a porta-potty along what used to be the shore of the lake! | |
| And the hike back wasn't bad either... except for the 90+ degree temperature. | |
